Deployment Co-ordinator
Salary: £180000
Due to a recent internal promotion Amadeus are looking for Deployment Co-ordinator primarily based at The NEC site.
This is an exciting time for the Arenas team with the NIA about to undergo a 20 million pound refurbishment programme over the next two years. The main responsibility of this role is to provide appropriately timed and skilled staff into our many shows, concerts and events for both the LG Arena, The National Indoor Arena (NIA, based in the city centre), and our external events throughout the UK.
Examples of the work you will be undertaking on a daily basis include:
• The staffing of all events within your business areas ensuring that the calibre of the people you deploy best represent the Amadeus and the NEC Group
• Being the first line contact for all variably paid employees and workers
• Reacting to and implementing solutions regarding cancellations, shortfalls and changing business levels
• Assisting with the recruitment and selection of our casual workforce
• Building of relationships with internal and external suppliers
• Working with the operational managers to ensure that the service we deliver to our customers is to the highest standard.
The flexibility and willingness to support Deployment Co-ordinators at our other venues is essential. Due to the nature of our businesses and the role you will be required to work evenings, weekends and early mornings with the possibility of staying away from home on occasion.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be proficient in I.T packages including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of workforce scheduling systems would be beneficial
• Have an excellent telephone manner gained in an office environment
• Be an excellent verbal and written communicator
• Be an outstanding multi-tasker with the ability to work on numerous projects at any given time delivering all in a timely manner to a standard with excellent attention to detail
• Proactively seek solutions to issues that may arise
• Be customer focused
• Be experienced in high volume deployment
• Have a knowledge of catering operations
• Self motivated and able to work well as a team
• Be passionate about providing world class staff to our venues and living our company values.

Casual Workers – Scottish Open 2012
Amadeus are proud to be delivering the catering for the Scottish Open 2012 at Castle Stuart, Inverness.
We are seeking enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable people to work for Amadeus to deliver bespoke catering.
All applicants will need to be flexible, reliable and passionate about the hospitality industry. They will need a can do attitude and be smartly presented, to ensure the very best customer service is delivered. Previous catering experience is not essential, but is an advantage to applicants. Amadeus will also provide comprehensive training to all those working the event.
We have the following positions available:
- Bar Staff
- Glass Clearing Staff
- Kitchen Porters
- Restaurant Waiting Staff
- Cashiers
- Supervisors
- General Catering Staff
- Chefs
The event will run from the 12 until 15 July however we will require all applicants to be available from Sunday 8 July until Sunday 15 July.
All workers will be required to travel to and from work each day independently.
Only successful applicants will be contacted and provided details of our recruitment days which will be carried out in Inverness between 16 and 20 May 2012. If you are successful through the interview process all work offered will be on a casual basis.
All workers will be required to attend mandatory training before commencing work with Amadeus; training is taking place between 23 & 27 June in Inverness. Hours completed during training will be paid if the successful applicant attends work on all dates offered for the tournament.
Due to general sale of alcohol throughout the catering areas, you must be 18 years or over to apply.
