Compound Manager – Olympic Park North
Based in London with occasional travel to Birmingham.
Amadeus is a division of the NEC group who have secured a contract to provide catering services at Olympic Park North in 2012.
We are searching for Compound Managers to assist in the delivery of our Logistics requirements at Olympic Park North. The candidate will effectively monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of all goods. This will be a challenging but very rewarding role and will provide experience and career development which is second to none.
This role will form an important part of the Olympic Park North Amadeus Team. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating an operational logistics team ensuring all project deadlines are met. There are 4 positions available for this exciting but challenging role.

Senior Head Chef – NEC Site
Immediate start to September 2012, based at the NEC, Birmingham.
Amadeus is a division of The NEC Group with over 30 years experience dealing with a wealth of experience in venue and event operation, delivering public catering, fine dining and banqueting to thousands visitors from all around the world.
This is a “hands on” role that will require determination and drive, the role will be a challenging but very rewarding and will provide experience and career development which is second to none.
You should have experience of high volume food production covering many different concepts and skill levels. You should be able to manage the monitoring of hygiene, health and safety and stock control in all kitchens on site to the required company standard. You must also have a proven track record in all aspects of kitchen management including budget control.
Expected qualifications should include at least 12 months experience working within a busy kitchen environment and hold NVQ 1, 2 & 3 (or equivalent) in food preparation and cooking, be qualified to a minimum Level III (intermediate) in Food Safety and level II in Health & Safety (or willing to undertake training to obtain them) and have the willingness to learn new skills and develop within the experienced kitchen team. Team work and good time management is essential along with the ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.

Deputy Food & Beverage Controller - NEC Group Catering
£20,000 pa with excellent company benefits
An exciting full time position has arisen, working within the catering division. You will become part of the Food & Beverage Control team primarily based at the National Exhibition Centre. This is a group role and you will be required to work at any of the group venues and offsite events.
We are looking to appoint a proactive, highly motivated, enthusiastic and confident individual. You must have great organisational skills to enable you to prioritise your own busy schedule, along with the drive to challenge processes, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance. You must be able to follow a flexible work pattern including evenings and weekends and occasionally staying away from home working on outside events.
Your main role will be to audit our catering operations to include analysing areas with high food and beverage costs, controlling, monitoring and investigating stock and cash discrepancies and to liaise and guide business areas to ensure compliance. It will be necessary to support the business in the absence of the Group Food & Beverage Controller.
You will come from a catering or audit focused background and should be able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative. With excellent interpersonal skills, you will be able to multi task and prioritise. You must also be computer literate, with a good standard of the English language both written and verbal and have sound financial awareness.

Casual Workers - Amadeus Catering Team
£6.13 per hour
The NEC, LG Arena and The NIA (All venues are fixed sites based within the Birmingham area).
We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and confident people to join the Amadeus Catering Team, working front of house delivering excellence to all our customers. The ideal candidate should be able to perform a multitude of tasks including cashiering, serving food and beverages to customers whether it be in a kiosk or a restaurant, bar work and many other duties.
You must also be passionate about the delivery of high standards and support that with a genuine enthusiasm for consistently delivering a memorable experience to customers. If you are a smartly presented team player with a can-do attitude, good time keeping and proven reliability, this opportunity could be for you!

Casual Management Vacancies
We are seeking reliable and dedicated individuals with a great personality to join our team as catering managers
and supervisors at the UK’s largest sporting event. Work would commence on a casual basis from June to September 2012
in London. There may also be opportunities during 2011 to support the project in Birmingham for various lengths of time.
If you have experience in a hospitality, catering or retail environment at management or supervisory level, we have opportunities for you.
You must have the ability to manage a team, take responsible for our guests and customers and manage stock levels
within your area. Experience of working in a Greenfield site is advantageous, as is experience of working at a high volume event.
