Wonderland at Compton Verney
There was a curious occurrence last night (17 June) at Compton Verney, as the prestigious venue celebrated the opening of its new marquee with an "Alice in Wonderland" inspired tea party.
Hosted by Compton Verney's Amadeus, guests from across Warwickshire, Birmingham and Oxfordshire enjoyed themed food and drink including "Cheshire cat ginger beer," "pink flamingo lemonade" and a selection of treats from the Mad Hatter's table.
Guests were entertained by a three-piece band, a group of wandering Minstrels and a giant Alice in Wonderland style chess table.
The launch marks a significant step for the venue, which is now available to host corporate events, weddings and civil partnerships.
The new marquee holds up to 350 guests and Amadeus, one of the UK's leading event caterers, offer a bespoke service for each event.
