Top venue and event caterer, Amadeus, last night scooped the
Birmingham Post's Hospitality (Leisure & Events) award at one
of its own venues, the International Convention Centre (the
ICC).
Amadeus was chosen for its innovation, commitment to the region,
job creation and strong financial performance, beating stiff
competition from the Ricoh Arena and Warwickshire County Cricket
Ground.
"This is a fantastic achievement and is a credit to our team!
Our team are very talented and dedicated and they are all focused
in delivering the best for our customers in both food and service.
This award is well deserved recognition for each and every one of
them," said Amadeus' Managing Director, Alyson Cawley.
Amadeus has been extremely successful, this year particularly,
having been awarded a number of significant catering contracts ,
including the provision of catering within the Olympic Park
North during the games in 2012. The award of new business has
created a significant number of jobs across the region.
This award will be added to the already impressive collection -
Amadeus' team of chefs have won more 600 awards to date -
most recently scooping 43 (including one gold, six silvers and 15
bronze) Salon Culinaire awards at the recent Hospitality
Show. The team also won 13 merit awards, three Hygiene Gold
Excellence medals and two Best In Class awards.
As the company continues to grow, tonight sees them deliver a
culinary first for Birmingham - having been selected by Marketing
Birmingham to co-ordinate the Birmingham Chef's Alliance Dinner: a
gastronomic feast that's the first of its kind, where one of
Amadeus's top conference and banqueting chefs, Simon Hellier
(Executive Head Chef at the ICC), will be coordinating and
delivering a seven course tasting menu alongside the city's top
chefs.
