AEGON CLASSIC
Strawberries and Pimms took centre court in June as Amadeus catered for the AEGON Classic Tennis at the Edgbaston Priory Club in Birmingham. As one of the WTA Tour premier grass court tournaments, players went from here to the Championships at Wimbledon. Amadeus provided a full catering package for the general public in addition to looking after all of the on and off court officials and ball kids.

BARCLAYS SCOTTISH OPEN
The stunning scenery of Loch Lomond Golf Club is home from home for Amadeus during the prestigious Barclays Scottish Open in recent years. A diverse and wide range of catering was provided once again -, from sushi and energy giving high carb foods in the Players Lounge, through to fine dining for the guests of Barclays and gourmet burgers for the public. Peter Adams, Director of International Championships from the PGA European Tour commented “we enjoyed excellent catering at the 2009 Barclays Scottish Open. The Players Lounge in particular was a resounding success and we lost count of all the positive comments from the players themselves.”
RICOH WOMEN'S BRITISH OPEN
Amadeus catered for the Ricoh Women’s British Open in August 2009 on the beautiful links course of Royal Lytham and St Anne’s. The tournament is the only major on the LPGA Tour held outside of the USA and the Amadeus team won the catering contract for the 10th year in succession. Providing a top quality service for sponsors, hospitality guests, the public and tournament officials alike, Amadeus were delighted to once again take part in this prestigious event.
EVERSHEDS AT THE SEALIFE CENTRE
Prestigious city law firm, Eversheds, were the proud guests at our first private event at the National Sealife Centre in the heart of Birmingham. The event was an opportunity for social club members and their families to enjoy a private experience of this unique venue. Following arrival drinks in the main reception, guests enjoyed exploring the exhibits as well as five unexpected food stations en route, finishing with a colourful ‘sweet and treat’ display.
LADY GOODHART'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT COMPTON VERNEY
Lady Goodhart celebrated her 70th birthday in style on the spectacular West Lawns at Compton Verney in July. 300 guests were greeted with a canapé, drinks reception and tour of the award winning art galleries; this was followed by a formal lunch in a purpose built marquee with wonderful displays of flowers. Lady Goodhart was delighted, and said “The flowers were out of this world and we absolutely loved them and they provided a wonderful talking point, they really made the party”. After lunch the guests enjoyed a private opera rendition before relaxing with coffee by the lake.
COVENTRY TRANSPORT MUSEUM
Amadeus celebrated the amazing Stirling Moss’ 80th birthday in August, catering for 140 guests at the Coventry Transport Museum. Following an impressive three course formal dinner, Stirling was presented with a magnificent replica cake of his British racing green Jaguar XK150 as raced in the 1960’s, produced by John Berry, our award-winning pastry chef. All proceeds from this successful night were donated to the NSPCC.
ARTFUL CONTRACT WIN
Amadeus has successfully secured the catering contract at stunning Warwickshire art gallery - Compton Verney - and opened for the spring/summer season on 21 March 2009. The public cafe is free to access from 11-5 and offers a delicious locally sourced menu of snacks and brasserie style dining. Amadeus also caters for private events and conferencing at the Gallery, where flexible spaces for 10-150 are now available for hire.
VENTURE INTO DIRECTORS' DINING
Prestigious Birmingham law firm Shoosmiths was the venue for a showcase lunch on 18 March. The Amadeus team created a bespoke 3 course menu for eight key representatives to demonstrate their capabilities for providing restaurant quality directors dining at a company's own offices.
COMBINING EXPERIENCE WITH MODERN INSPIRATION
New Bingley Hall at the edge of the revered Jewellery Quarter in the heart of Birmingham is the latest venue to promote Amadeus as a preferred caterer. This contemporary venue has been borne out of a historic building and will use Amadeus' innovative culinary style to provide event and wedding organisers with quality menus in line with its impressive technology.
